The Direction not Intention. Determines Your Destination

4 ways to not live in God's will and make bad decisions

1.    Don't read the Bible-

2.    Hang out with the wrong people-

3.    Have it your way-

4.    Don't make decisions-

“Every decision is a step in a direction.”

What is God's will for my life and where do I find it?

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 “3 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God: 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The  Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already warned you. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.”

God's will is for you and me to be made holy, Avoid Sexual Immorality, control our bodies, and do no wrong to others.

We are to Love God and Love People. Luke 10:27

Why is reading God's Word so important in knowing His will and making good decisions anyway?

2nd Tim 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is God‑breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Break it down for me brotha!!

Teaching-(wisdom)

Rebuking-

Correcting-

Training in Righteousness-(right action)

So is God a Cosmic Cop? NO!!

What about every day decisions that are not spelled out specifically in God's Word?

How to make Good Decisions:

1.    Read God's Word and ask God for wisdom.

      James 1:5

2.    Surround yourself with Godly people who have God's best interest in mind for you

      Proverbs 12:15

3.    Have it God's way: Obey

      John 14:15

4.    Make a decision and trust God.

      Romans 8:28

God's Promise to us is seen through WHO Jesus Christ is, and What He has done for us!

Who is Jesus to you?
